Multitasking: Myth or Fact

Multitasking is a useful and extremely powerful skill for monitoring multiple sources of information in our information-saturated lives for e.g. datamining, following an unfolding event, co-ordinatinga group of people, or simply just looking for inspiration or entertainment. The act of multitasking is like scanning. However, it isn’t the same as giving a complex idea your complete attention – or allowing yourself to engage and connect deeply with the place you are in, the task, and the people you are sharing it with.
